The Midas Reverse was born in 2016 of the experimental project of Andres Vega Solana and Felipe Schwarz in the suburbs of Porto Alegre / Brazil. The two musicians came together to compose melodies that dealt with their frustrations and the attempt to give vent to the various feelings that were locked in their souls. With influences from Post-Rock, Shoegaze, Krautrock and Synth Wave, the first composite songs formed the EP "Empty", released in July of 2018 and produced by the duo in partnership with Gilberto Ribeiro Jr.

The tracks that make up the EP "Empty" bring themes from the everyday life of modern times, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression and the dysfunctions of human life. The atmosphere of this EP is claustrophobic and melancholic. The composition process was based on the experimentation of timbres and instruments.

At the end of 2018, Jonathan Machado take on the bass. The band released that year the singles "UVB 76" and "6, 7, 8 ... Enough!", Based on the same dark atmosphere of "Empty" but with a strong influence on Electronic Music and Dubstep.

In early 2019, Andres Vega Solana moved away from the project to focus on his family and his personal projects. The Midas Reverse released two tracks for the split "Pork Suicidal" in January 2019, being "Dominus Sanctus Mortem" and "Ether", plunging into influences from Dark Wave and Post-Punk.

The musicians got a positive response from releases, achieving a good effect on playlists and reviews worldwide.

In February 2019, Gabriel Cabral take over the guitars and synthesizers along with Tairel Lopes that take over drums and e-drums.

The Midas Reverse is currently working on its first album release, which will contain 14 tracks and will be released in the second half of 2019. The new album contains a strong influence on the Post-Punk and New Wave of the 80s, mixing several textures and timbres influenced by the Indie Rock, Krautrock and Synth Pop of the first half of the 90s.

The new album will be released exclusively in K7 format, being partially released in streaming services.
